This year for Christmas 2011, we restocked the new kitchen with new appliances, a range hood above the stove, dishes, bowls, spoons, pots and pans etc etc.
We're proud to receive another Certificate of Appreciation from a Vietnamese Official thanking us for all we do for the orphans of TamKy, Vietnam.
Many of you wander why we support the TamKy Orphanage instead of one here in the USA. I was stationed in Vietnam and saw so many orphans begging for food and with no place to sleep go to at night, I thought that if I could afford it, I would someday go back to Vietnam (Tam Ky) where I was stationed to help these children. The people in these villages are very very poor, they are lucky to get a bowl of rice every day. Compared to them there are no poor people here. There is no assistance in Vietnam like there is here for poor people.
I feel that I can spend the money where ever I deem necessary since I earned it myself and it has been very gratifying helping the Vietnamese orphans. We have made a difference there that we are proud of.
